Awesome Saints go Marching Top

TNS went back to the top of the Principality Welsh Premier League with a comfortable 4-0 away win at Latham Park against Newtown on Valentines Day. The Robins handed Legaue debuts to Dan March and Marcus Sharrad, but even the fresh blood in the home side couldn't contain the professional from Llansantffriad.

The Champions scored just the once in the first-half through Jamie Wood, who was playing his first League game of the season after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The former Man Utd trainee struck the opener, which will give his Manager Ken McKenna confidence that he can return to his best.

Former Newtown player Rob Williams who started for the Saints at the back had his evening spoilt, when he was replaceed just after the half hour but this didn't stop the Saints from cruising in the Second Half as Spanish striker, Oscar Gonzalez scored his first for the club seven minutes after the break.

Just three minutes later, John Toner scored his fourteenth Legaue goal of the season and Chris King volleyed just his second goal for the club just after the hour to wrap up the victory.
