Fixture Type: Welsh Premier League
Referee: Mike Jones
<1>It was certainly a lucky Friday the thirteenth for the bottom of the table side as the Druids gained their first win of the season against the struggling Porthmadog. The pre-match talk was all about the return to the team of leading scorer Carl Lamb from injury and Steve Watkin's Plaskynaston debut following his switch from Caernarfon. However, Mike Heverin, the 'other' Druids striker in the starting line-up reminded everybody exactly what he is capable of.
Heverin's hat-trick for the Druids, which came in a twenty minute period either side of Half-Time, has lifted the Ancients from the bottom of the Principality Welsh Premier table and finally given Manager Dixie McNeil something to cheer about. His pre-match interview was all about how the only thing that mattered was three points on the night and he would have been delighted to see his side not only do that, but score three goals in the process.
Heverin, who was a prolific striker for Warrington in the Unibond League before signing in December 2005, struck twice in three minutes just before half time and then sealed the victory with his third in the 61st minute.
The defeat leaves Porthmadog in thirteenth place and just two points ahead of Caernarfon at the foot of the League table.
