<1>Aber offered free tickets to the local students for this Principality Building Society Welsh Premier League match and almost 200 students attended despite swirling winds at Park Avenue. The first opportunity fell for the Druids' Osian Jones, once of Caernarfon and Wrexham, but he struck the crossbar with a ferocious free-kick on 19 minutes. Town failed to trouble the Druids keeper, Carl Edwards, mainly because of the strong winds as chances were few and far between. Aber striker Luke Sherbon was guilty of dragging a shot wide, whilst Andy Evans glanced two headers past the post, so honours were even at the interval.
Geoff Kellaway had the first effort of the second period, and his powerful shot forced a good save from Edwards. Shortly after, Stuart Roberts' wonderful trickery on the edge of the box rattled the crossbar. After another near miss from Sherbon, Craig Jones was the first to pounce on the loose ball after a Carl Edwards save from Stuart Roberts, and he tapped in a to give the Seasiders a deserved lead. Midfielder Kellaway was injured and replaced by youngster Stuart Fraser and it took him just eight minutes to win the ball before coolly firing beyond Edwards to score his first League goal.
Aber's Andy Evans failed to test the keeper soon after when faced with a good opportunity, but he made amends in the last minute, when his downward header went beyond the keeper to make the final score 3-0. Aber Manager, Brian Coyne (pictured) must be commended for introducing so many youngsters from the Aber Youth team, which finished Runners-Up in the FAW Youth Cup last year and Fraser is proof that a number of them will be great Aber players in the future.
